My work focuses on why controversy and polarization arise around various issues, what adolescents can learn from disagreement, and the particular strategies teachers use when teaching controversial issues. 

I am also interested in science communication and dissemination of research on social media, in the media and through popular-scientific events. 

I have been involved in several externally funded project initiatives, such as a Center of Excellence application focusing on reading as a human experience.
