Work Package 1: Course Development, 2 ECTS Winter Schools
Develop cutting-edge courses on:
- Physics-based simulations and experimental validation of coupled subsurface processes
- From lab to field: Scaling up simulation and experimental results
- Risk management in subsurface geo-engineering
Courses are offered as five-day winter schools (WS) with merit-based admission, featuring international lectures and student-active learning.
Work Package 2: Thematic Workshops + Entrepreneurial Opportunities
Organize a series of short workshops to explore new research directions, identify opportunities for national and European proposals in subsurface and porous media processes, and expose students to start-up opportunities in the global energy landscape.
These workshops will also be used to develop benchmark problems in consultation with international partners. Modules will include communication training to raise public awareness and foster acceptance of CCS, energy storage, and other subsurface activities essential for the energy transition.
Work Package 3: International Mobility Grants
Enable knowledge exchange and career development for INTPART members through funding stays for individual members at partner institutions.
Work Package 4: Digital Collaboration and Learning Platform
Create and moderate a digital platform to enhance collaboration across institutions, research fields, educational programs, and themes, supporting CSSR joint research and long-term collaboration. The platform will unify collaborative, learning, and communication activities, including curriculum design, immersion learning, and data sharing/visualization.
