The aim of the course is to provide students with an introduction to applied biostatistics with an emphasis on oral healt sciences.
This course focuses on application of a statistical computer package (STATA) and includes descriptive statistics, estimation and hypothesis testing of continuous data and frequency tables, and regression models.

Krav til forkunnskaper
Bachelor's degree in dentistry, medicine or related sciences. Students enroled in a Master's degree programme can take this course. Completed ODO-STAT1/06 is recommended.
Arbeids- og undervisningsformer
Lectures, 3 hours per week for 7 weeks, a total of 21 hours.
Obligatorisk undervisningsaktivitet
Participation by at least 80% of the lectures.
