This course is an introduction to the gipsverksted and provides an overview of the workshop's guidelines and user's responsibilities.

The main components of this intro are as follows:

• Introduction to health and safety protocols
• Introduction to workshop scheduling and use of workspaces
• Introduction to casting materials that are permitted for use in the workshop and available for purchase
• Introduction to available tools and equipment for use
• Demonstration on the use of ventilation systems
• Overview of individual cleaning responsibilities and proper use of sinks and wetvac
• Overview of how to properly dispose of waste material

The course is suitable for those with any previous casting experience and is primarily aimed at students who would like access to the workshop to work on self-directed projects. This is not a technical course and no casting processes will be taught.

Only upon full completion of the course card access will be granted to the workshop.
