Forskningen min utforsker filosofiske spørsmål som oppstår i forhold til moderne praksis innen økologi og relaterte felt. Temaer jeg har jobbet med inkluderer individualitet, individuelle forskjeller, individualisert forskning, økologiske nisjer, nisjekonstruksjon, dyresporing, åpne data, folkeforskning, atferd og biologisk kjønn.

Mitt nåværende prosjekt fokuserer på folkeforskning innen økologi. Jeg ser på hvordan store folkeforskningsplattformer brukes over hele verden for å dokumentere og studere biomangfold. Hvordan påvirker folkelig deltakelse økologisk forskning? Hva er den epistemiske verdien av folkeforskning? Jeg kommer til å et spesielt fokus på om og hvordan store og omfattende folkeforskningsprosjekter bidrar til epistemisk mangfold innen økologi, og hva dette betyr for verdien av økologisk forskning.

I min forrige postdoktorstilling ved University of Exeter i Storbritannia studerte jeg hvordan nye åpne vitenskapspraksiser former økologi gjennom prosjektet. Jeg fullførte doktorgraden min ved Bielefeld University i Tyskland, med en . Ved hjelp av kvalitative, deltakende og konseptuelle metoder studerte jeg hvordan forskere i en tverrfaglig forskningsgruppe forstår og studerer individualitet i forhold til individuelle forskjeller.
