Course description

Objectives and Content

The course is an introduction to ordinary cohomology of topological spaces.

The following topics are central:

Universal coefficient theorem, the cup product, K眉nneth theorem,
orientable manifolds, and Poincar茅 duality.

Learning Outcomes

The goal of the course is to give the students insight into basic ideas and methods of algebraic topology.

Required Previous Knowledge
The following qualifications are recommended: Approximately 70 ECTS in mathematics, including courses in real analysis, algebra and topology.
