Our study programmes are developed in line with societal and labour market needs. A graduate survey from 2022 shows that more than 9 out of 10 master's graduates were in relevant jobs within a year after completing their degree. Nearly half secured a job before finishing their studies.

8. The best student welfare in the country

The Student Welfare Organisation in Western Norway (Sammen) has been ranked the best in the country. Sammen provides all student welfare services, including housing, cafés, fitness facilities, and healthcare.

9. There's always something happening

Bergen is a cultural city with plenty to do. The student cultural centre Kvarteret hosts concerts, debates, film screenings, quizzes, and revues. Hulen is Northern Europe’s oldest rock club, run by volunteer students. Additionally, there are many student organisations, academic committees, and student associations at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´. These are great places to meet new people, be social, and engage in activities you enjoy.

The University of Bergen has roots dating back to 1825 when Bergen Museum was founded. In 1946, we became the country’s second university. Since then, we have been—and will continue to be—the most important knowledge institution in Western Norway.
