I hold a BA in Assyriology from the University of Copenhagen, and an MA in history of religions from the Religious Roots of Europe-programme, with a focus on antique Hebrew literature. I further have a background in Anthropology and medieval/modern Middle Eastern studies and Arabic. My research interests include intellectual exchanges and common (either collaborative, competitive, or somewhere in between) discourse in the Ancient Near East, with a focus on Early Judaism and Mesopotamian literary and philosophical traditions and their interactions.
In my work for the RADHEART-project, titled Mirrors of the Heart: Ezekiel Traditions and Radical Religion in Second Temple Judaism, I am looking into the Masoretic text of Ezekiel, along other Ezekiel traditions such as fragments from Qumran and Ezekiel in the Septuagint. I explore the character of Ezekiel as a model for individual strong commitment, and as a pull-factor towards radical religion in the late Second Temple period.
