About the panel
The Panel of Politicians is a digital research panel in which elected officials at all levels in Norway respond to questions about their role as elected representatives and representing voters, parties, and different societal groups.
The goal of the project is to increase our understanding of how elected representatives view different political issues. This includes their experiences with citizen interaction, collaboration across levels of government, and the various responsibilities that come with being a representative. We also seek to explore how they assess the usefulness of different forms of democratic innovation. The panel aims to strengthen the dialogue between research, politics, and society.
We invite all elected representatives at all levels of government in Norway- municipal councils, county councils, Stortinget (the national parliament), and Sametinget (the S谩mi parliament).
All personal data is handled confidentially. Responses are used exclusively for research and are handled in accordance with national ethical guidelines for research. Data is securely stored and encrypted using 黑料吃瓜资源鈥檚 system for handling sensitive research data, 鈥淪AFE鈥. The panel has been approved by the Data Protection Officer at 黑料吃瓜资源 and SIKT, and complies with the EU general Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The panel is part of the national research infrastructure KODEM (Coordinated Online Panels for Research on Democracy and Governance). KODEM is funded by the Research Council of Norway, the ten consortium member institutions and a range of individual research projects.
is responsible for managing the practical implementation of the survey, including recruiting participants and managing survey distribution and responses.
