From U.S. Voting Design to AI Slopaganda: Notes from the Living Archive of Political Design

This lecture traces Adam Flint鈥檚 research into the political life of graphic design, moving from early work on the U.S. voting system to recent investigations of AI-generated 鈥渟lopaganda.鈥 Drawing on projects including Local Actions, National Outcomes (2017-19) and Poster-Making Was Orange Work (2023鈥25), the talk examines how graphic design is used to both reinforce and disrupt political power. Adam reflects on anarchist and counter-design histories, contemporary visual strategies of normalization, and the growing role of AI-generated media in shaping political reality through his current project, The Living Archive of Political Design&苍产蝉辫;(2025鈥).
