The article, 鈥淏iogeochemical Interactions and Their Role in European Underground Hydrogen Storage鈥, is authored by PhD student Frank Viveros Acosta together with Dr. Na Liu and Prof. Martin Fern酶, and published in the Special Issue Mineral Dissolution and Precipitation in Geologic Porous Media by MDPI.

This review explores how hydrogen interacts with reservoir minerals and microorganisms such as sulfate-reducing bacteria, methanogens, acetogens, and iron-reducing bacteria. These microbial processes can influence storage efficiency by consuming hydrogen, producing byproducts (H鈧係, CH鈧, acetate, Fe虏鈦), and altering reservoir properties through biofilm formation and mineral reactions.

Well done!
