Mini course: Bourgain spaces, by Nadia Skoglund Taki
Bilde
The mini course will be held over three weeks as part of the Analysis and PDE seminar. Feel free to join us Wednesdays, October 8th, 15th, and November 5th, in Sigma at 12:15 - 14:00.
Abstract
The goal of these lectures is to introduce the Fourier restriction spaces known as the Bourgain spaces. These spaces have been used to prove the local well-posedness of several dispersive equations, where we will provide the proof for the initial value problem associated with the Korteweg-de Vries (KdV) equation. We will mainly follow chapter 7.4 in the book 鈥淚ntroduction to Nonlinear Dispersive Equations鈥 by Felipe Linares and Gustavo Ponce. 鈥
