Neuro-SysMed Junior Scientist Symposium April 10, 2026
Welcome to NEUROSYSM910, our Junior Scientist Symposium!
We are pleased to invite you to the first Neuro-SysMed Junior Scientist Symposium of the year, which will take place at at BBB, Friday, April 10, 2026!
The keynote lecture will be delivered by聽Andreas Hillestad Schei, Psychologist from the Division of Human Resources, University of Bergen. 聽He will present a very relevant lecture, "The ups and downs of the PhD". The keynote lecture will be held in Auditorium 4, BBB.聽
Following the keynote lecture and coffee break, we move to Konferanserommet, where a selection of talented junior scientists from our faculty will present their ongoing research projects:聽Casper Eugen Sandvik will speak about his exciting project聽exploring the regenerative potential of extracellular vesicles from neurally primed mesenchymal stromal cells for multiple sclerosis.聽Shakil Salim Rajan will discuss insights from a wearable sensor case study on the relationship聽between sleep, activity, medication, and motor symptoms in Parkinson鈥檚 Disease. After lunch, Gonzalo Sanchez Nido will discuss the application of high-throughput transcriptomics in the study of neurodegeneration. Last, but not least,聽Simon Ulvenes Kverneng will give us an introduction to the SLEIPNIR trial platform.聽
We believe this symposium will inspire rich discussions in a dynamic, collaborative atmosphere and offer a wonderful chance to meet and learn from researchers across diverse fields.
