Bye Bye Bryggen is an interactive soundwalk that brings climate research to life. With Bergen鈥檚 iconic Bryggen as the backdrop, we invite you to explore how climate change may transform the city.

The year is 2072, and the worst storm in 200 years is about to hit the west coast of Norway. In Bergen, a family鈥檚 future is changed forever the moment the storm sirens sound. As the storm rages, the family rushes to save their family shop on Bryggen. What happens next is the result of many decades of decisions: did we work together, or did the lines of conflict grow even deeper? It鈥檚 up to you to decide.

Climate change forces us, as a society, to make many difficult choices, and through storytelling, we can make these dilemmas visible. What is worth protecting 鈥 and at what cost? What consequences will today鈥檚 decisions have for people and the environment in the future?

With Bryggen as a backdrop, Bye Bye Bryggen brings climate research to life through a story where the listener influences how events unfold. What choices will you make? What is worth protecting, and who pays the price?
