Center for Research on Heart Disease in Women – a vibrant four‑year‑old
It has been four years since the Heart Fund at the University of Bergen provided NOK 12 million in start‑up capital for the Center. Among the founding supporters, the Bergen Women’s Public Health Association was the largest contributor, while the Grieg Foundation has provided the most substantial support beyond the initial funding, together with Helse Vest and the Research Council of Norway.

The Center has developed into a nationally and internationally leading research environment for women’s cardiovascular health. There remains a strong need for clear voices to advance knowledge and improve the treatment of heart disease in women.
