We congratulate Arleen Aune on successfully completing her midterm evaluation.
Her PhD project focuses on differences in cardiac organ damage in women and men with uncontrolled hypertension despite treatment with medication. The first sub‑studies examine patients with primary aldosteronism as the underlying cause of hypertension. The final sub‑study is based on the national IDA study, which investigates mechanisms behind persistent high blood pressure despite medication.
The occasion was duly celebrated with a shared lunch at the Center.
