There are many reasons behind gender disparities in academia. These differences are not due to lower productivity, but have been suggested to stem from women receiving less recognition than men for equal achievements. Understanding why women receive less recognition is one of the key topics Marc Lerchenmueller has explored in his research.
Marc Lerchenmueller is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Business Administration at the , Germany, and researcher at Yale School of Management, USA.
He has a diverse background. Before entering academia, he worked with the healthcare sector at Boston Consulting Group in New York and founded two biotechnology companies. He holds a PhD from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management, and master’s degrees in public health from Yale and in finance from Oxford.
