The Norwegian Artificial Intelligence Research Consortium () brings together several prominent institutions across Norway in order to strengthen Norwegian research, education and innovation within the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. The University of Bergen is a member of NORA.

The Statistics and data science research group is situated at the Department of Mathematics at ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´. Statistics is a field within mathematics that deals with the principles and methods for collecting and analyzing quantitative information, based on models and concepts from probability theory. With statistical methods, one can explore datasets to find patterns and make forecasts, and to estimate uncertainties.
