Scholarship offer to students writing about a Ukraine-related topic
If you wish to write your master thesis on an Ukraine-related topic, you are eligible for a scholarship of NOK 40 000.

The UA-KLAR project, ‘Clarification of Legal Frameworks for Investment, EU Integration, and Justice in Ukraine (UA-KLAR)’, aims to strengthen expertise in the Norwegian public and private sectors on Ukraine’s relationship with the EU and EEA, the regulation of investments in Ukraine, and the justice process.Â
A scholarship of NOK 40,000 is offered to students who wish to write a master's thesis on an Ukraine-related topic.Â
The scholarship is also available to students writing their master thesis as a part of an L.LM program.Â
There are several relevant thematic areas, to name some:
- Ukraine's EU integration and its EEA dimension,
- Defence cooperation between the EU and EEA states, and Ukraine,
- Ukraine's free trade agreement with the EFTA states,
- Norway's partial adherence to EU sanctions against Russia,
- Issues related to the Russian shadow fleet in Norway's neighbouring areas,
- Procurement of equipment for Ukraine, such as drones,Â
- Peculiarities of the protection of Ukrainian refugees in Norway and in the EU.
Additional scholarship
Students who receive a scholarship will also be offered an additional scholarship of NOK 15,000 to prepare a short policy brief based on their master's thesis. Guidance will also be offered to support the development of a scientific article based on the submitted master’s thesis, should there be interest.
