Research
Vladan Milosevic is a medical doctor holding a PhD in molecular medicine from the University of Turin, Italy, where he investigated the potential role of malignant pleural mesothelioma stem cells in the development of chemoresistant and immunoresistant phenotype of this highly aggressive tumour. After completing his PhD, he held a postdoctoral fellowship in Christoph Klein's group at the Chair of Experimental Medicine and Therapy Research, University of Regensburg. During his two-year postdoc in Regensburg, Vladan focused on minimal residual disease in breast cancer patients and studied the role of disseminated cancer cells in the onset of metastasis.
He is currently a researcher in the 脰stman and Costea groups at the Department of Clinical Medicine, University of Bergen, aiming to identify novel biomarkers and therapeutic targets of aggressive breast cancer through high-multiplexed profiling of the tumour microenvironment using the Hyperion imaging mass cytometry platform.
