Research
My research focuses on urban climate governance and transformative change. Cities worldwide have become central actors in responding to climate change, yet most are still falling short of their ambitious targets. The increasingly diverse urban dimensions of climate change make managing climate action more complex. How can we design governance tools and processes that enable rapid, transformative change?
I am conducting a qualitative case study of climate budgeting in Nordic cities, combined with co-creation workshops with our local partners, the and . My PhD-project runs from 2025-2029.
Before starting my PhD, I worked at the Climate Agency in the City of Bergen (2021–2025), focusing on consumption-based emissions and circularity initiatives, as well as the institutionalization of climate action within the city administration.
