My work is mostly dedicated to questions of general international law, including issues relating to the implementation of international law in Norwegian domestic law. Particular interest for treaty law, sovereignty and jurisdiction, immunities, state responsibility as well as constitutional questions related to the conclusion of and implementation of treaties. I have experience from representing Norway in international organisations and international courts and tribunals, such as the ICJ.

Doctorate (ph.d.) in law (2021) from the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law with the doctoral dissertation «Countermeasures in International Law: Function, Limits and Systemic Relevance». The work examines the right of States to enforce international rights and obligations through resort to countermeasures in accordance with the rules of state responsibility. Ma. degree in law from the University of Bergen (2015), M.Sc. in Theory and History of International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (2013) and a Ba. degree in History from the University of Bergen (2011).

Currently involved in a research project that seeks to examine international legal aspects relating to offshore wind installations, and international legal consequences associated with non-legally binding international agreements.
