Short info

I am an oceanographer interested in sea ice, polar oceanography, air-sea-ice interactions and large-scale climate variability in high latitudes.
Research

In my PhD, I studied the present and future drivers of Arctic sea-ice variability using a combination of observations and earth system models. Currently, I'm using Lagrangian modelling to understand the mechanisms of Atlantic Water transformation and its impact on the Arctic overturning circulation, the northernmost terminus of the AMOC.
