Research

Emily McLean is a PhD Research Fellow at , at the Department for Global Health and Primary Care and an affiliate researcher at  at the University of Bergen. She is a medical doctor by training.

Her PhD project aims to explore the ethical complexities and priority dilemmas related to the implementation of safe abortion care in Ethiopia. The goal is to produce evidence for policy makers and medical ethics training programs.

Projects

: Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation  funded project (January-October 2021) which aims to build a coalition of researchers, clinicians and policy makers working towards decarbonising Norwegian health care while maintaining and improving health outcomes. 

The aim of the project is to explore and describe the ethical dilemmas that employees at nursing homes in Norway have experienced during the Covid-19 pandemic with a special focus on priority dilemmas and experiences of support.
