Anantha Divakaruni is at the Department of Economics, University of Bergen. His research focuses primarily on corporate finance and financial technology (particularly cryptocurrencies). He teaches the financial technology course (ECON264) at the third-year undergraduate level. 

Anant holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from JNTU, India; a Master of Finance from Vlerick Business School, Belgium; and a PhD in Business Economics from Gent University, Belgium. As part of his PhD, Anant spent a year abroad as a visiting scholar at the Schulich School of Business, Toronto, Canada to conduct research on international buyouts. Prior to joining the University of Bergen, Anant was a research fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
