Events Celebrating ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊԴ’s Honorary Doctors

On 20 and 21 May, the University of Bergen marks the awarding of ten new honorary doctorates. Here you will find an overview of all the events.

On 20 and 21 May, the University of Bergen will host a series of events with and for the ten newly appointed Honorary Doctors. Over the course of these two days, a wide range of events, lectures and conversations will take place, all of which are open to the public.

Lectures and Conversations – 20 May

In the University Aula

  • 10:00–11:00: - Panel discussion honoring honorary doctorate Aud Jebsen, followed by a mini concert by pianist Leif Ove Andsnes (Please note that the conversation will be held in Norwegian.)

Conferment Ceremony – 21 May

On Thursday, 21 May at 13:00, a formal Honorary Doctorate Conferment Ceremony will take place in the University Aula. During the ceremony, the new Honorary Doctors will be officially awarded the honorary doctoral degree.
