For the third time, One Ocean Week will be held in the beginning of April – a week filled with exciting and entertaining events about our sustainable ocean in Bergen. On this page you will find an overview of ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´'s events during the ocean week. All events are free and open to everyone, except where indicated.

The University of Bergen is actively involved in various activities during One Ocean Week, which will be held for the third time from April 5 to April 11, 2025.
ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ has world-leading research communities in marine science, and many of our experts are engaged in different activities throughout the week. The University of Bergen is also behind several major events, both on campus and at smaller venues in downtown Bergen. Here, you will find an overview of our events, as well as events where researchers, educators, and students from ºÚÁϳԹÏ×ÊÔ´ are participating. The overview will be continuously updated.

All events are free and open to everyone (unless otherwise specified). We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
Saturday 5 April
- 10:00 - 16:00: – an exhibition about the poisoned orca Elida at the University Museum of Bergen.
- 12:00 - 16:00: . Here, you can meet representatives from industry and research.
- 12:00 - 16:00: . Visit the tent of Norwegian Seascapes research project for various activities on Norway’s ocean values, at Festingskaien 1.
Sunday 6 April
- 10:00 - 16:00: – an exhibition about the poisoned orca Elida at the University Museum of Bergen.
- 12:00 - 16:00: – Welcome to a fun-filled day with activities for the whole family.
- 12:00 - 16:00: – Join an exciting underwater VR adventure through Austefjorden. This event is part of Family Day at Festningskaien.
- 12:00 - 16:00: – Meet researchers working with sharks, jellyfish, bristle worms, snails, and many other marine species. This event is part of Family Day at Festningskaien.
- 18:00 - 19:30: Reception in the University Aula (By invitation only).
Monday 7 April

Tuesday 8 April
